THE BULL RUSH- THE SRS PLAYERS FUNDRAISER
This week’s Bull Rush Raffle, the Players Fundraiser, was embroiled in controversy when Team Captain Martin ‘Texas Longhorn’ Comerford was removed from the race pending a full investigation by the CCCCC (the Confederation of Continental Cows Controversies Committee) of ‘alleged’ misconduct. The former All-Star and 6 time All-Ireland winner faced the wrath of the CCCCC at a 3am Saturday interview at CCCCC Headquarters in SRS Steel & Roofing Fabrication Offices, Castlecomer. After 36 hours of deliberation the CCCCC found that there was no evidence of misadventure on the players part and Martin was fully reinstated to the competition much to the relief of club stalwart, Lochlainn the Bull. The other captains were not so enthusiastic however and were happy to proceed without him and increase their chances of winning the team prize – a specially commissioned training jersey. However after reinstating Team Texas Longhorn the hurling legend found that he was no longer at the top of the race leader board and had been trumped by Team Brain ‘Hereford Red’ Hogan into first place for the first time on a cool 188. Martin gained very little ground however and drops to 2nd on 177. Mark ‘Angus Browne’ Kelly follows with 169 and has a lot of work to do to claim the top spot, as does Mark ‘Belgian Blue’ Bergin who did well but holds 4th position on 147. Last again is Andy ‘Beef Shorthorn’ Kearns on 114 but with the biggest gain in sales for the third consecutive week this one is one to watch.
Tickets for the raffle are available from your player or online on www.oloughlingaels.gaa.ie Bull Rush.. . 1st prize of a Bull Calf or €1000. Well done to all the players for driving their own initiative and a huge thanks to event sponsors SRS Steel & Roofing Systems for supporting the lads.

Om their way to success the lads overcame the cahllneges of st. Martins, Dicksboro before beating James Stephen in the Final. The lounge is big enough so don’t be shy! – ALL ARE WELCOME.
