PLAYER NEWS

It was disappointment for Paddy Deegan and the Kilkenny Senior Team this week as they suffered defeat to Galway in the Leinster Championship at Salthill.  It was another good performance by our man though and his presence on this Kilkenny Team is becoming more important as this campaign continues.  Always a hard worker he’s a credit to the club and parish.
Also on the day u13 player Ruaidhri Galwey took part in the Cuman na mBunscoil game during half time at a packed Pearse Stadium.  The large crowd certainly didn’t phase or Ruaidhri and those present would say he even relished it!. Another on to watch for the furture. His u13 Teammate Eoghan Bennett represented the club at the County Feile Skills competition at Dunmore on Saturday and although didn’t take the top spot he gave a great effort as you’d expect from our young Gaels.
On Friday evening Conor Kelly, Jamie Young and Niall Higgins were all involved in another successful outing with the Kilkenny minors in the weekends Championship game. Incidentally Conor Kelly was voted last weeks Electric Ireland Player of the Week for his performance in the Championship the week before so congratulations to Conor.  Well done to all our players ..keep up the good work.

U15s Johnny Sheridan Cup

Picture
U15 Panel at Saturday's Johnny Sheridan Cup
Congratulations to Graigue Ballycallan GAA Club who won the weekend’s Johnny Sheridan Cup. A late surge at the end of a very competitive final against the home side O'Lougjlin Gaels earned them the champions status after a fine afternoons hurling at St. Johns Park. The tournament included teams from Bennettsbridge GAA and Barrow Rangers Paulstown GAA. Well done to all our players who put in a strong shift in front of their home crowd and thanks to Juvenile Chairman Nigel Leydon and his team for organising the event.

Well done to everybody that got involved in today's 'Run with Ciara' . Your efforts raised almost €2k to contribute to the Ciara Lawlor Memorial fundraiser for Ataxia Foundation Ireland. Thanks to the lads from Thomastown GAA Club joining us too and to all who got involved. Great morning...well done all.
