MINORS TO COUNTY FINAL
The St Johns Parish side advanced to the 2015 Minor Football A Championship County Final after outsmarting neighbours Dicksboro in an entertaining encounter at St. John’s Park last Sunday. Much more clinical finishing by O’loughlins with three major scores passing the ‘Boro keeper being the difference. If goals win games then next weekend’s opponents will be a different dilemma as James Stephens put eight past their semi-final opposition Mooncoin, and with home advantage it will be a tough challenge..but our lads love a challenge!. Well done to all involved.
CLUB LOTTO
There was no winner of last week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 7, 9, 13, 14 and the bonus number was: 4. Tickets can be bought from the usual selling agents or by asking at the clubhouse bar. Remember – if you’re not in; you can’t win the jackpot prize of €20,000.
THE BULL RUSH- PLAYERS FUNDRAISER FOR STRENGTH & CONDITIONING FACILITIES
Week four has seen a shift in the placings for the players race to sell the most raffle tickets in an effort to raise funds for Strength & Conditioning Equipment at O’Loughlin Gaels. Team Martin ‘Texas Longhorn’ Comerford remains in the lead but only just as a massive surge by Brian ‘Hereford Red’ Hogan’s team sees them catapult into second place. Leaving Mark’ Angus Browne’ Kelly wondering if it was a good idea to go on holidays in the middle of the race!! The other two teams led by Mark ‘Belgian Blue’ Bergin and Andy ‘Beef Shorthorn’ Kearns are looking like they might be heading for the butchers block early unless a dramatic shift in sales occurs. Please support the players..their goal is to have facilities available at the club so that they and future players can serve O’Loughlin Gaels GAA well. This is your opportunity to show them the great support they have. The players on the team that sells most wins a players prize and you get to be in with a chance to win the raffle Log on below or contact your favourite player for tickets. Tickets for the raffle are available from your player online. 1st prize of a Bull Calf or €1000. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased online on www.oloughlingaels.gee.ie Bull Rush.. Help the lads to raise enough funds for strength & conditioning facilities at the club by buying a ticket from your team. It promises to be a great night where these young players will be feted in front of their families and friends and members of O’Loughlin Gaels GAA. The u14s had a very successful year finishing up with retaining the u14 Hurling Championship title for the 3rd year in a row and the 4th in five years for the club. On top of that they boys achieved success when winning the Paddy Grace Tournament (County Feile), The County Football Championship and the All-Ireland Feil Peil Div 5 Championship back in June. The u16s will also be rewarded for their efforts when they receive medals as u16 County Hurling Champions, County Football Champions and County Hurling League winners. Not bad going boys. Looks like it could be a long and enjoyable evening!

SUICIDE AWARENESS GATHERING
Last week a large crowd filled the pews in St. Johns Church to witness the third Suicide Awareness gathering and listen to those affected by mental health issues. Organised by Lord Mayor Joe Malone the crowd heard testimony of very personal experiences from both Kenny Heffernan and Waterford hurler Maurice Shanahan and was compared by Aisling Keoghan.
