O’LOUGHLIN TEAM NEWS
SENIORS BOOK LEAGUE FINAL
Final Score: O'Loughlin Gaels 1-16 to 0-17 Erin's Own
A final league win sets up an all city League final v neighbours Dicksboro. The lads looked in control for most of the game thanks to a fine goal from Shane Mahony, 3 points each from Paddy Deegan, Paddy Butler (frees) and Sean Bolger. Jack Nolan popped over a point from a sideline cut also in a game that produced a team effort that saw ten players hit the target. Erin's Own did eat into the O'Loughlin's lead in the final 10 minutes outscoring the Gaels by 6 points to 2points but those 2 points scored by substitutes Conor and Mark Bergin proved vital . The Gaels win ensures they top the group and sets us up nicely for another championship challenge.
The Byrne Cup Semi-Final is scheduled this evening (Wednesday) against Mullinavat in Thomastown at 6.45pm. Please support the lads and all our teams in fixtures over the coming days. All club fixtures are listed on KilkennyGAA.ie or at the link below.
