O’LOUGHLIN TEAM NEWS
It wasn’t the best week for results for our teams – The Junior A’s were knocked out of the championship by the minimum after a sickening last minute blow when a long range ball deceived all and bounced harmfully to the net. It had looked like the lads had just done enough to advance but neighbours James Stephens benefitted from that bit of luck. IT wasn’t a bad year for the lads however as they managed to maintain their status for next years’s Junior A competitions.
The Byrne Cup saw Ballyhale Shamrocks claim a big win in Ballyhale on a scoreline of 3-22 – 1-19 during the week also, and in the Lisdowney 7’s our u13s were knocked out after a titanic battle with Moycarkey Borris of Tipperary that saw the game being forced to additional time after both teams were level on the final whistle.
Friday the Seniors continue their league/championship campaign with a meeting against The Rower Instioge. Your support of club teams is always appreciated.
Best wished to our u16 panels who play championship hurling over the coming days. On Thursday evening in Castlecomer the Roinn C Championship sees our boys take on Ballyragget and then the following Monday evening the Roinn A championship gets going with repeat of this years League Final with the Gaels face Dunnamaggin.
Please check out all of the weeks fixtures on the club’s website for updates. http://www.oloughlingaels.gaa.ie/latest-fixtures.html
