O'Loughlin Gaels would like to send best wishes to four of its finest who are Croke Park bound on Sunday for the biggest day in our country's sporting calendar. Ross Butler & Daniel O'Connor will don the Black & Amber in the minor final against Limerick. Throw-in time for this match is 1:15. Brian Hogan & Mark Kelly will then take to the hallowed turf to do battle against the auld enemy - Tipperary in the senior decider. Throw-in time 3:30. Spare a thought for their families who will catch, hook, block and strike every ball along with their loved ones from the safety of the stands. Two of our u8s, Eoghan O'Brien and Luke Hanrahan, will feature on RTEs 'Up for the Match' program to be broadcast next Saturday night. Luke and Eoghan are part of a strong u8s panel who train hard each week and enjoy plenty of games. Filming took place last week and the two boys apparently were as comfortable in front of the camera as they are on the field of play. Freestyle hurling and general play will feature. We can now add two more names to the list of players representing the club this All-Ireland weekend. Good luck to Brian Hogan, Mark Kelly, Ross Butler, Daniel O'Connor, Luke Hanrahan and Eoghan O'Brien all proudly representing O'Loughlin Gaels. Eoin Lawlor |
