Round 2 Hurling League Win

4/3/2017

RESULT: Duggan Steel Under-16 Roinn A Hurling League Group A
O'Loughlin Gaels 2-14 to 1-10 Erin's Own

A good win for the u16A's this evening (Monday) at St. John's Park was helped by two goals, one in each half. Jack Sheridan whipped in the first with a sweet ground strike and in a tightly contested game it took a brilliant Conor Kelly goal 10mins from time to finally put distance between the two sides. Well done to all the lads who worked tirelessly throughout the field.

David Fogarty and Ian O'Keefe combined on several occasions to stifle numerous attacks and Niall Higgins, Mathew Russell, John McNamara stepped up another gear when the pressure was on.  It was a good outing for the boys and management will be satisfied with the performance as plans begin to hatch for the Summer.

There was a strong local support there tonight that will be back again tomorrow at the same venue when the u16B's play Cloneen/Railyard. Bígí ann
