The third match in the league series got off to a good start with goals coming quickly for the Gaels with Owen wall and Ben maher with one apiece ! Some fine scores followed with ryan poyntz and Adam Flynn , conor heary and Eoin Neary all contributing points . A strong second half with scores a plenty for Oloughlins , with Eoin Neary landing a superb goal to complete his hatrick . The lads look strong but thoughts go out to Mikey butler who was injured early in the first half . O'Loughlin Gaels 1-12 to 2-4 Mullinavat
Great win for the O'Loughlin Gaels u16 b team to make it a clean sweep of wins for all u16s teams so far in the league. The boys played well throughout to take the lead early and hold on to it throughout the match. A strong resolve in the last quarter cemented these youngsters as a team while they had to withstand a fighting comeback by Mullinavat. Well done to both teams who entertained the St. Johns crowd with a very competitive game of hurling. Johns Sheridan's young men now look forward to their next challenge when round 3 of the league takes place next week against Tullaroan. Keep it going boys. The 2015 league campaign got off to a good start last week away with a victory to dicksboro and the lads entertained a James Stephens team smarting from their opening defeat to Naas in their opening league match .
The village boys shot out of the blocks , scoring two quick goals to show their intent ! However the o'loughlins lads have a lightening fast forward line and once they settled they showed some speed in levelling scores with two goals each from om Dacel Fwamba and Owen Wall. Half time 4-08 to 3-04 They finished out the strongest too with impressive scores from Ben Maher , eoin o shea and Ronan Buckley among the fine point scorers and a further couple of goals with Adam Flynn finishing a great full pitch move with what it seemed like all 15 players involved Final score 6-15 to 4-08.
