O'Loughlins u8s held their last session of the year in St.Johns Park on Sunday morning with an exhibition blitz of games viewed by parents and friends. The panel divided into 4 teams of red, green, blue and white and played 3 group games each of an exceptionally high standard. Drop shots, blocks, hooks, strikes and shot stopping were some of the skills that this group of lucky parents were fortunate to witness. All games were so competitive any of the teams could have came out on top. After some totting up team red played team blue in the cup final and team green played team white in the shield. Both finals were high octane with every player giving 100%. The morning ended with each player receiving a club certificate awarded for their efforts this past season. Captains of each team were picked on consistent work rate throughout the year and each received a prize. Luke Quigley, Michael Lambert, Conor Murphy and Darragh Powell all received their prizes with Darragh as captain of the winning team received the coveted O'Loughlins Gaels Mug.
Next Sunday O'Loughlin Gaels u8s travel to Kilmacud Crimes GAA in Dublin for their final tournament of 2015. Best of luck boys.
