An army of U6 Gaels hosted neighbours Dicksboro on Thursday evening for a series of mini challenge games. The home team may have out numbered and out matched thier opponents but the spirit on the field of play could not be paralelled in any other code we would suggest. The boys from both clubs played their games in the manner in which our national games are meant to be played - fast, skillful, hard and exhilerating. Every young fella that left St. Johns Park last Thursday evening had had the time of their lives after many had played their very first game in their chosen club jersey.
Well done to U6 Mentor Stephen McCormack who is the only one around putting on games for the youngest hurlers in the Kilkenny GAA and provding the opportunity for other clubs to challenge their youngest players by invitiation to St. John's Park. Infact some of this weeks visitors were surprised they didnt have far to go!!
O'Loughlin Gaels GAA - providing sporting excellence for the young boys of St. John's Parish. Lovely Hurling.
