O’Loughlin Gaels GAA, Est 1969
Shortly after its foundation O’Loughlin Gaels GAA Club rose to prominence as one of the most dominant in Kilkenny GAA, achieving Senior Status and varying degrees of underage successes building a solid future for the club. The Club, located in Kilkenny City adjacent to Nowlan Park, serves St. John’s Parish, boasting household names such as brothers Martin & Andy Comerford, Brian Hogan and current Kilkenny Players Mark Bergin & Paddy Deegan.
In 2001 O’Loughlin Gaels first won the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship and has since added three more, in 2003, 2010 and 2016. The club also boasts 2 Leinster Club Titles won in 2003 & 2010.
2011 the u14 team won the Feile na nGael hurling title. These lads also had success that year in their division of Feile Peil, with that accolade repeated again at Feile Peil 2015.
We wish every team a very enjoyable experience at Feile 17 and welcome the Cork Feile representatives to St. John’s Park.
