General Info:
What to do!
- Check that all potential Host Families have applied for Garda Vetting? This includes everyone in a household over the age of 18 - including any visitors or returning family members that may be in the house over the weekend of Feile. If any member of a household aged over 18 on the weekend of Feile does not have a valid Garda Vetting (GAA/Camogie) letter the household cannot act as a host to children.
- Clubs should prioritize Garda Vetting for Host Families that still need to apply as it may now take 6 weeks to process and complete applications.
- If a host family member is already Garda Vetted by GAA or Camogie there is no need to reapply for Garda Vetting for Féíle.
- If host families have applies for Garda Vetting in recent weeks and have not received an email asking to verify former addresses they may need to reapply as the time may have expired.

General Info:
- If a person applies for Garda Vetting for Féile Host, they cannot then become a coach in their club, to do this requires being vetted again as a coach.
- The Club secretary will have been sent an email stating what position someone has requested to be Garda Vetted for and will get an email highlighting when the process is complete, the club secretary and/or children's officer should keep a record of this information for the club.
- Evetting last for 5 years.
- All coaches need to have be Garda Vetted prior to taking up a position of coach/mentor/selector were U18 year olds are on the team. Best practice suggests that all club committee members, senior team coaches etc should also be Garda Vetted.
