Durlas Og juvenile club, Thurles was founded in 1979. It is the only juvenile club in the country to not have a senior component. The club caters for over 300 boys between the ages of 4 and 16 years old and its 30thanniversary was celebrated in 2009. Durlas Og has won 30 county titles in hurling and 10 in football. In 1990, the club own the all-Ireland feile na nGael division 1 title. The current Tipperary captain Padraic Maher, is a former member of the club as well as 4 more members of the Tipperary panel this season. Durlas Og was a host club last year for the feile na nGael Competition.
