Great news for u21 star and captain David Burke as his numbers were drawn last Tuesday evening to claim the Lotto prize. Its good news for sure for David and there’s good news for everyone else also as the top prize of €20,000 remains in place for the next draw- It’s the club that keeps on giving!!! . The numbers drawn were 4, 5, 9, 21 and the bonus number was: 7. Tickets can be bought from the usual selling agents or by asking at the clubhouse bar. Remember – if you’re not in; you can’t win the jackpot prize of €20,000.
O’LOUGHLIN GAELS CLUB REGISTRATION
This is the last week for all to have their club memberships registered. Registration must be completed by March 31st and it is important for all players both juvenile and Adult to their memberships up to date as the hurling season hots up. Renewed memberships can be left into the club bar Thursday through to Sunday and also Tuesday evenings from 8pm. It is important that all players memberships are registered now to be included in the club insurances before they train and play etc. All membership details will be posted on the clubs facebook and Website. JUNIOR HURLERS
Well doe to both Junior teams who claimed first points in round one of their respective leagues at the weekend end over the same opposition. The Junior hurlers put on a top performance to defeat neighbours James Stephens GAA on a scoreline of 4-17 to 0-10 at St. Johns Park on Saturday. Then on Sunday at an equally blustery home venue the Junior a team took maximum points by scoreline of 1-18 to 2-8. Both teams looked fit and eager and enthralled the support with some very fine passages of ply. Well done to all involved.
YOUTH TEAMS GET GOING
This week sees our u16 and minor teams start their league campaigns with first fixtures. Fixtures can be seen on the clubs facebook pages and on the Kilkenny GAA website. Please support these young lads as they put in many hours of preparation and deserve your support.
ST KIERANS’ COLLEGE
Congratulations to St. Kierans College on winning their 21st All Ireland Colleges title in Semple Stadium against Ard Scoil Ris of Limerick. The team as always prepared well and included our own Eoin O’Shea in the extended panel. Well done to all involved.

THE HOME RULE CLUB
The Home Rule Club is situated in the heart of St. John's parish on John’s Quay and have the distinction of being the only Home Rule Club still remaining in the whole of Ireland . . . in existence in Kilkenny city for over 120 years. The Home Rule Club is an Institution the caters for all ages. It’s facilities include two well-kept full-size snooker tables, new dart board, a weekly card playing session and music and sing-song on Saturday nights.
