U6's FIRST OUTING....
A NEW GENERATION OF 'GAELS
The u6 brigade launched their first assault on rival territory when they paid a visit to the Kells Rd venue last Thursday evening for their first ever competitive fixture. The boys had trained hard all Spring to prepare themselves for a Summer of Sundays so were undaunted as they faced up to city rivals James Stephens in a series of fast tempo action. The games were close, the skill levels high and the hits were hard as players from both clubs played like young men...no quarter given..no quarter taken. Parents who travelled in their numbers were well impressed with what they saw and came away excited at the prospect of the next outing. The players too have now acquired the bug for competitive action and look forward to developing a hurling career at O'Loughlin Gals GAA. A first outing and a new dawn for a great club. Hon d'loughs!!
