MINORS
This weekend the Kilkenny Honda Centre Minor Hurling Championships gets underway and both Minor A and Minor B teams are scheduled to play against Dicksboro and Tullaroan respectively. Venues and times have to be confirmed but keep an eye to the clubs social media pages and we’ll keep you all posted. Please also make the effort to support all our teams as the players make huge efforts in representing their club and parish. The A’s will have a tough challenge in Dicksboro and these two teams will give a spectacle you can be sure so don’t miss it. The B’s got a win against Tullogher Rosbercon (Tullogher Rosbercon 2-8 to 1-12 O'Loughlins) last weekend so they’re poised to put it up to Tullaroan when they start their campaign. Go for it lads
U14’s CHAMPIONSHIP
Our u14s get their Championship Campaign off this evening (Wednesday) against Thomastown in Clara at 6.30pm. The boys desire to advance will not be found wanting and your support as always is required. Please support all our teams –it’s important to the players!

As our juvenile teams continue to compete in club championships it must not underestimated the importance of our Juvenile Team Sponsors. CAMOGIE ALL-IRELANDS
Best wishes to O’Loughlin Gaels Camogie Stars Laura Murphy (Senior) an Laura Greene (Intermediate) who help Kilkenny Camogie teams in their bids for respective All-Irelands titles on Sunday in Croke Park. There to see them will be two bus loads from O’Loughlin Gaels Camogie Club wo will depart from St. John’s Park early on Sunday morning. U14s and u16s will take in challenge games in Portmarnock in the morning before the travelling party will head to Croker to cheer on the girls. It will be exciting stuff, Kilkenny will be up against two formidable Cork teams so a big support is needed to help them push on to All-Ireland glory. Support the girls..C’mon the cats.
JACK & JILL CYCLE – SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 17th
Starting and Finishing at O'Loughlin Gaels GAA Club this is one for all you cycling enthusiasts. There will be lots going on so even if you're not into the bike come along and support this very worthy cause.
U10s STAND STRONG
Over the last 3 weeks our U10s have being involved in over 12 challenge matches against Young Ireland - Gowran, Thomastown, Graigue/Ballycallan, and Erin's Own of Castlecomer. Each of these matches were brilliant to watch, full of skill and enthusiasm from every boy involved, not an inch was given and nothing spared. Parents present were well impressed at how well their young boys were able to rise to some stiff opposition....Next up for this bunch of lads is Dicksboro's blitz this coming Saturday, 10th of September...3 more tough matches ,but there up for any challenge. NEWPARK 60th ANNIVERARY REUNION
The 60th Anniversary Reunion of Newpark (1956) will take place in O’Loughlin Gaels GAA Club on Friday 9th September. It will commence with a Remembrance Mass for all the deceased residents at 7.30pm at the Clubhouse Pavilion, followed by a buffet meal and music. An exhibition of old photographs will be mounted for viewing.
