Kilkenny V Waterford
Next Sunday at 2pm the Kilkenny Senior Hurlers are home to Waterdord in Nowlan Park. Across the road at O’Loughlin Gaels GAA St Johns Park's facilities will be open to supporters for parking and refreshments etc....spread the word and let all your friends know.
The new O’Loughlin Gaels Young Player Pathway was launched last Wednesday evening in front of a generous crowd of mentors, members and parents. Brian Ryan, Games & Coaching Development – Kilkenny County Board acknowledged the continued great work of O’Loughlin Gaels in setting standards and goals for young players and congratulated Niall Bergin, Paul Cleere and the Club’s Juvenile section for producing such a fine publication. JUVENILE REGISTRATION FRIDAY 7pm
If you have an address in St. Johns Parish then O’Loughlin Gaels GAA is the club for you. With facilities the envy of so many only a stones throw from Nowlan Park you can’t go wrong joining the club that is home to the current Senior Hurling County Champions. Groundsman Eddie Maher and his team have been busy with pitch maintenance throughout the off season so that every square inch of the facilities are pristine for the return of our young Gaels… and the welcoming of new Gaels. The juvenile section is stocking up the equipment store and on Friday February the 10th at 7.00pm all boys and girls u6 to u12 from St. John’s Parish are invited to the club to register their intent for the season ahead with O’Loughlin Gaels GAA & Camogie Clubs. There will be an opportunity to get photographs with the Tom Walsh Cup that the seniors hurlers collected after their County Final win, and no doubt aspire to do the same when they complete the new Player Pathway that the club have carefully tailored for its juvenile players. Well done to all the O’Loughlin Gaels representatives on St Kierans’ College and CBS Kilkenny Senior Colleges teams who won their respective games last weekend. The teams find themselves on a collision course to this year’s Leinster Final if they both overcome their semi-final opponents. Well done boys ..keep it up boys.

LIBRARY NEWS (St. Johns Quay)
On Feb 2nd we introduced a new library system which gives us access to most Libraries in Ireland, books can be borrowed and returned in any library already joined the National system. Unfortunately for the moment our request system on same has been delayed so please bear with us if you are looking for certain books not available here. Library Membership is free so please drop in and join up.
Our knitters club will meet next Tuesday 7th from 5pm to 7pm and every Tuesday thereafter. Beginners welcome!
Our French conversation group meet next Fri 10th from 11.30am to 12.30pm and every second Friday after.
Our Bookclub meet the last Wednesday of each month, the book for discussion this Month is ‘The Museum of you’ by Carys Bray.
Mew members welcome in all our groups.

These are nicely produces by our Juvenile players as part of their Transition Year Enterprise Project at CBS Kilkenny and will look good at home or at work…especially if your work colleagues are from a rival club!!!
