St Canices CU Official Kilkenny GAA Snr Hurling League.
O'Loughlin Gaels 1-16 to 0-11 Danesfort.
New season, new management, new jerseys means a fresh new O'Loughlin Gaels Snr team. Manager Niall Bergin will be well pleased with this afternoon's result as our younger players showed well in today's victory. The League Championship off to a great start then but no opportunity to build any momentum as it looks like a long break to the next round unless common sense prevails. Some excellent movement and a high workrate laid the foundations for a workmanlike performance serving to distract the O'Loughlins support from the awful weather...much of the game having been played in wet and windy conditions. Well done and congratulations to all involved....lovely hurling.

Result: Kilkenny Honda Centre Minor Hurling League Roinn A
Freshford 2-10 to 0-19 O'Loughlin Gaels.
A great win in Freshford this week earns our young guns the well earned league points. Some fine performances around the field saw a positive performance with a nice range of scores. Brilliant win...well done all
Result: u13 A Football C'ship Qtr Final
Young Ireland's 3:8 to 2-5 O'Loughlin Gaels.
The boys put in a huge effort against the Gowran side and with a bit of luck the result could have favoured the Gaels. With a score advantage the blanket defence was adopted with no route through to goal. The crossbar was rattled and the big ball ricocheted off umpteen bodies on numerous occasions in the final quarter. Well done to all the boys ...great effort...have the hearts of Gaels.
